REstaurant Menu Labeling
What We Do
Menu Labeling and Nutrition Analysis
Our registered dietitians will help you interpret the FDA restaurant menu labeling regulations and will perform nutrition analysis of your recipes and menus using nutrient database calculation.
We provide nutritional analysis including a detailed nutrition profile of over 50 nutrients including those mandated by the FDA:
Calories from Fat
We can produce a nutrition facts label in a variety of formats to meet your needs.
In addition to nutrient analysis and developing nutrition facts labels, our registered dietitians, including a credentialed chef, are ready to assist you with all of your menu related nutrition needs including:
Gluten and Allergen Declarations
We will assist you in creating allergen declarations for the 8 most common food allergens. We can identify gluten-free menu items you already offer as well as help you create new menu items. We can provide declarations in statement form or in a user-friendly brochure to offer your clients or post on your website.
Nutrient Content Claims
We will aid you in identifying opportunities for nutrient content claims for your menu items that meet FDA regulations. These claims include “low fat”, “sugar free” and “reduced calorie”. We can even create an entire healthy eating program for your restaurant including nutrition criteria, menu labeling techniques and advertising strategies.
Recipe Standardization and Makeovers
We will work with you in the development of standardized recipes or to adjust the amount of fat, sodium, fiber, or any other nutrient in your recipes while maintaining the integrity of your recipe and the flavor.
We can create informative brochures listing nutritional or allergen information of your menu offerings in one convenient place to offer your clients in paper form, on your website or through other social media.
We can work with you to identify healthy food options on your existing menu or find opportunities to update an existing menu with healthier options.
We will work with you to develop or refine a healthy menu geared towards kids focusing on appropriate portion sizes, reducing sodium, calories and fat.
We can provide staff training on a variety of topics including:
